Education

Education is one of the primary missions of the Western Science Center, and we have many opportunities for students, groups, and everyone to enhance your visits to the museum.  Our popular school field trip program will take students through our galleries on a self-guided tour, with an option to add a Discovery Lab that gives students a hands-on experience with real fossils.  We have many other resources for educators to help your students get the most out of their visit.

Visitors of all ages can benefit from our many community programming events.

Our Saturday Series provides engaging educational experiences during the weekend.  The Western Center hosts workshops that let you interact with experts in their fields.  Our Thursday Evening Lecture Series gives you the chance to hear engaging and informative talks on a wide variety of fascinating subjects.
Take advantage of all the great museum education opportunities right in your own neighborhood!
