Date(s) - 05/04//2017
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Western Science Center
Speaker: Rebecca Coleman, MSJC English Professor
Literary giant John Milton religiously aligned himself with Puritans, but his ideologies shifted throughout his life, and in his elder years he became increasingly opposed to religious and governmental authority. Far from the stereotype of a stuffy Puritan, Milton was a radical progressive who helped shaped modern conceptions of the relationship between church and state.
