The Universe comes to the Western Science Center!
May 28, 2010 - January 9, 2011
How often have you looked up at the night sky and wondered about the universe? The world of Space is full of fascinating and wonderful things that can teach us about the nature of time, the stars, and the small planet we all live on.
Discover the fun of astronomy with interactive exhibits and hands-on activities that bring the cosmos to your fingertips! The Space Spot features fun, interactive displays that show you how much you weigh on other planets, how stars form the constellations we see, how scientists measure and observe the heavens, and much more! You can even put your hands on a real meteorite!
The Space Spot also features a planetarium show that takes visitors on a stargazing tour of history. Learn where constellations get their names, hear the stories of your own astrological sign, and discover how all the stars, planets, and the Earth interact in a great cosmic dance that humans have watched for thousands of years.
Planetarium show admission is not included with regular museum admission, and is only offered select days. Call before visiting for most up-to-date information about show times.
