Join us for our fun and hands-on summer camps! From paleontology to engineering, kids will have the chance to learn in a unique museum setting.

All campers will receive water and a snack during camp.

AM Session: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
PM Session: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Camp Session Fees
WSC Members: $100 per camp
Non-Member: $110 per camp

You can pay for your child’s camp by calling 951-791-0033. Please note that the Admissions Desk is available to take payment Tuesday through Friday, 10 AM – 4:30 PM. Please allow one hour for your registration to process before calling to pay.

Make It A Day!
The Western Science Center is offering a supervised lunchtime for campers signed up for both morning and afternoon camps in the same week session. Supervised lunchtime is $2 each per camper, per day. Camper must bring their own lunch.

Lunchtime: 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM
Registration for the supervised lunchtime program is required at least two weeks before start of camp.


Entering K – 1st Grade

Small Hands Science Camp
June 18th – 22nd (AM session 2)
Instructors: Krystle Drouault and Margaret Ozolins

A perfect camp for the curious young scientist! Explore a different theme each day through hands-on experiments, crafts, stories and games.

Daily themes include exploring colors, looking at opposites with some help of our Ice Age animals, learning about the natural world around us, exploring our five senses, and the science behind bubbles and water!


 

Entering 1st – 3rd Grade

Jr. Engineering Camp *CLOSED – Waitlist Available*
June 11th – 15th (PM session 1)
Instructor: Margaret Ozolins

Design, build and create with this fun camp! Jr. Engineers will discover the science behind engineering through fun activities and engineering challenges.

 

Art and Nature Camp Pt. A & B
June 11th – 15th (AM session 1) CANCELLED and July 9th – 13th (PM session 4)
Instructor: Krystle Drouault

Explore the nature of our world through art projects! Be creative with fun and engaging arts and crafts as you explore our natural world and the beauty within it! Part A and B are unique sessions, so campers can attend one or both sessions.

Young scientists can explore different scientific themes through fun hands-on experiments and activities!

 

Time Traveler’s Camp
July 23rd – 27th (AM session 6)
Instructor: Margaret Ozolins

Jr. Time Travelers will explore past cultures from around the world through crafts, games, food and fun, no passport required!

This camp will be using some food so please let us know of any food allergies when registering.


 

Entering 3rd – 5th Grade

Fossil Camp
June 11th – 15th (AM session 1)
Instructor: Brett Dooley

Fossils are fun but also informative. Learn about fossils from Diamond Valley Lake and elsewhere through lab exercises, creating a “fossil,” and fun activities!

 

Messerific! Camp Pt. A & B
June 25th – 29th (AM session 3) and July 16th – 20th (PM session 5)
Instructor: Krystle Drouault

Ok, we know the word is made up, but what better way to describe this terrific and messy camp! Have fun while getting creative. From splat painting to ooey gooey, this camp will be Messerific! Part A and B are unique sessions, so campers can attend one or both sessions.

This camp will be using some food so please let us know of any food allergies when registering.

Explore the periodic table while discovering the elements of science with hands-on experiments and fun demonstrations!

Discover how inventors throughout history have used science and imagination to change the world we live in! Hands-on camp activities explore these inventions while sparking your own inventor’s creativity and imagination!
